Barry Eisenach

Painter and sculptor Barry Eisenach works out of his home and studio in Arvada, Colorado. He attended Colorado State University for 2 years and graduated from Colorado Institute of Art in 1975. After 23 years as an illustrator and graphic designer he turned his attention to sculpting and painting full time. Mr. Eisenach was featured in the January 2000 edition of Southwest Art Magazine. He has participated in Sculpture in the Park, Loveland, Colorado from 1999 throught 2005; the 2004 & 2005 Phippen Museum Miniature Masterpieces Show; 2005 Night of the Artists in San Antonio; 1999 and 2003 National Sculpture Society Annual Exhibition; 2005 National Sculpture Society 'The American West'; Montana Historical Society: Painting the Corps: Contemporary Visions of Lewis and Clark. Mr. Eisenach was elected to full membership in The Northwest Rendezvous Group in 2003.

Artist Statement
I am first and foremost a figurative artist and feel that depicting the culture and history of Native Americans is a vehicle from which I am able to sculpt the beauty of the human form as well as the beauty of the human condition that is common to all cultures.

I believe drawing is the foundation of representational art, and that sculpture is simply drawing in three dimensions. My intent is to capture the emotion,dignity and personality of my subject in concert with sound drawing, design and technique and to make a personal connection with the viewer
