Raymond Knaub

Biography
A native of Scottsbluff and a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Raymond Knaub reflects his German/Russian heritage and growing up next to the North Platte River and the Oregon Trail in western Nebraska. Exhibiting widely for the past 25 years, he has built a reputation as one of the foremost Neo-Regionalists through extensive one man and invitational exhibits. His work is held in many private and public collections throughout the world.

His work is highly prized by museums and corporate collectors from all over the country and one of his paintings was recently featured at the United States Embassy in Moscow.

"I view my paintings more and more as a visual poem that hopefully creates a spirit of place. That view, a romantic one, is as valid as any art movement today. We, as a society, have to regain or discover the beauty and sacredness of the earth. I suppose, in a nut shell, that is the significance of my life's work!"
