Mission
The American Art Invitational was conceived as a community event—a coming together of artists, galleries, collectors and students
in a special presentation of works by the top contemporary masters
of realism. This year we are celebrating a show of small works, entitled "Small Gems," December 3 thru December 31, 2011.
The invited artists are masters in the field of contemporary
realism. Like their predecessors, they display a foundation of
strong training in the techniques of draftsmanship and composition.
Using different subject matter such as landscapes,figure, wildlife,
western and still life, they give us an understanding of present
as well as a sense of history. This year, the artist roster includes
award-winning painters and sculptors from California to New York
and Texas to Montana. |

Saks Galleries has been a showcase for great art work in the
Denver area for almost 50 years and together with co-sponsor,
